Trevor Bayne

Trevor Bayne (born February 19, 1991 in Knoxville, Tennessee) is a development driver for Dale Earnhardt, Inc. He currently competes for DEI in the NASCAR Camping World East Series, driving the #1 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. He is also a former development driver for Team Rensi Motorsports.

Bayne began racing go karts at five. He would compete in karting over the next eight years. During that time, he won more than 300 events and earned 22 titles including World Karting Association World Champion three times. He moved up to the Allison Legacy Race Series in 2004 and picked up two wins, five pole positions and 11 top-five finishes in 19 starts and ended the season as Rookie of the Year. He became the series' the youngest race winner and Rookie of the Year at the age of 13. He followed up that performance 22 starts, he raced to 12 wins, 14 pole positions and 19 top-five finishes in 2005 and won the national championship.

In 2006, Baynes moved to the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series Southern Division and was named Rookie of the Year at age 15. He also took one victory at Hickory Motor Speedway. He moved up to the East Series in 2008, and won his first race at Thompson International Speedway.
