Scott Wimmer (born January 26, 1976) is Nascar Nationwide Series driver of the #40 Carfax.com/Federated Auto Parts Chevrolet for Key Motorsports. He is the brother NASCAR driver Chris Wimmer.

[edit] Youth
Scott competed in the United States National Junior Olympics in downhill and slalom skiing at age 14, and finished 13th of the 150 competitors.
[edit] Pre-NASCAR
Wimmer started racing at State Fair Park at Wausau, Wisconsin in 1991 at age 15. He moved up through the ranks, and became a well-known driver in the Midwest. He moved down south, and in 1997 he was the Rookie of the Year in the Hooters Cup late model series. He later finished second for the Rookie of the Year in the American Speed Association (ASA) series.

Nationwide Series
He began racing in the Busch Series in 2001 driving the #23 Jani King Pontiac for Bill Davis Racing. He had 5 top 10's and 2 top 5's. got. In 2003 he joined Bill Davis Racing full time in Sprint Cup. In 2006 he signed on to drive for the #66 Duraflame Ford part time for Brewco Motorsports.
Sprint Cup
In 2003, he took over the seat of the #22 Catpillar Dodge Bill Davis Racing car. After 64 starts he had 3 Top 10 finishes and 1 Top 5 finish. In 2006, he was replaced by Dave Blaney, and decided joined Morgan-McClure Motorsports driving in the #4 Areo Exhuast Chevy. Wimmer strugled with a average start of 35th and finish of 29th. He had 1 top-five and 3 top-tens. In late 2006 he parted ways with is MMM.
