Richard Petty Motorsports (formely Petty Enterprises and Gillett Evernham Motorsports) is a NASCAR Sprint Cup team owned by Richard Petty and George Gillett fielding the #9,#19,#43 & #44 Dodges. December 31,2008 Petty Enterprises merged with Gillett Evernham Motorsports and closed its shop and moved its #43 and #44 teams to GEM, on January 19,2009 the team name announced as Richard Petty Motorposrts .
