Gary Collins

Gary Collins (January 24, 1960 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Bakersfield, CA. He competed in four Sprint Cup Series events in his career and was also a West Series winner.
Collins' debut came in 1988, when he competed at Phoenix. Starting 39th in the field of forty-three, Collins lost an engine late in the race and finished a disappointing 33rd.
Collins' next race came in 1990, when he returned to Phoenix. It was almost a mirror of his last start, qualifying 39th and finishing 33rd in the event. However, this time, Collins was running at the finish.
Collins' next start came in the 1991 season, when he yet again competed at Phoenix. This time, Collins barely made it to lap sixty, crashing out of the event and finishing a poor 42nd.
Collins' final career start came in 1994, when he made his debut at Sonoma. Starting last (43rd) in the Venable Racing car, Collins only completed about half the race before finishing 40th.
