[edit] Memories
Not a lot of wins but he was big time in my book. I was home on a pass from the navy (USS Wright CC-2)1968 and had a major problem with my car when I went to his place of employment (Townsend Pontiac). It was mid day Friday and I had to be back on the ship in Norfolk ,Sunday Night.I was told it would be Monday before they got it out but he said not to worry, H'd come in on Sat. and get it out. I was able to get the car Sat afternoon and make ship's departure on Monday. After having enjoyed his driving in the sportsman ranks at Greenville-Pickens speedway, I learned to appreciate him even more. - Unregistered Contributor.
