David Mayhew is a NASCAR driver from Atascadera, CA. He will compete full time in the 2008 Camping World West Series schedule driving for Golden Gate Racing's #21 Bay Bio Diesel Chevy. That team is a developmental effort from Sprint Cup powerhouse Richard Childress Racing.
Mayhew made his West Series debut in 2007, finishing 6th in an impressive run at Thunder Hill Raceway. He added on three more top-tens in six other series starts that year, including a runner-up effort in the season finale at Altamont Motorsports Park. He also was the runner-up in the 2008 season opener at All-American Speedway.
In addition, Mayhew made fourteen appearances in the now defunct Southwest Series, with a 3rd place run at Colorado National Speedway as the best of his six series top-tens.
