Dave Davis

From The Third Turn, a Wikia wiki

Dave Davis is a former NASCAR driver from Freeport, ME. In his brief career, Davis made ten Nationwide Series starts.

Davis made three starts in 1987, with his series debut coming at ORP. Davis started 32nd and would finish there after a crash on lap seventeen. That would be Davis' best run of the season, as he finished 34th at Oxford Plains and 35th at Dover.

Davis ran two races in 1988, both with dismal results. He started last (39th) at Rockingham and finished last after an early engine failure. The same thing happened at Dover, where he started last (36th) and finished last after engine issues.

Davis' best season was 1989, but even then the results were mixed. After a 28th at Rockingham, Davis started 30th and finished 12th at Martinsville for his best career finish. Yet, it was the only race he finished, as Davis fell to 35th at Dover. The 66th in points would prove to be Davis' highest career ranking.

Davis' last season was 1990 and was able to set his best career start at Martinsville, starting 23rd before finishing 32nd. After finishing 25th at Oxford Plains, Davis has not raced in NASCAR since.
