2007 Nextel Cup Season was the 58th NASCAR Cup season began with the 2007 Daytona 500 on February 18,2007 and ended with the 2007 Ford 400 on November 18,2007. The Toyota Camry made its debut, becoming the first time a foreign Manufacturer to run in NASCAR competition. After testing in 2006, The Car of Tomorrow made its first run, competiting in 16 cup races.

A few driver sponsor changes since 2006. Dale Jarrett will drive for Michael Waltrip Racing toyota team, taking sponsor UPS with him. Joining him is David Reutimann driving the #00. Ricky Rudd will take over for Jarrett in the #88 sponsored by Snickers for Robert Yates Racing. Also David Gilliland willl take over for Elliott Sadler who will drive for Bill Davis Racing in the #36 Toyota. Mark Martin will stay another season sharing driving for Ginn Racing, sharing the #01 with Regan Smith, Joe Nemechek will stay but a third Ginn racing car, #13. David Ragan will take Martins place in the #6 Ford for Roush Racing. Ward Burton will drive for Morgan-McClure Motorsports. Casey Mears will drive for Hendrick Motorsports, former Indy driver Juan Pablo Montoya will take over for him in the #42 for Chip Ganassi Racing. Greg Biffles #16 will be sponosred by Ameriquest, National Guard will sponsor the #25. Team Red Bull will run two Toyota's driven by A.J. Allmendinger and Brian Vickers. Johnny Sauter will run his first cup season since 2005 in the #70 Chevy for Haas CNC Racing. Front Row Motorsports will try to run the #34 Chevy full-time driven by Kevin Lepage . GM Goodwrench will not return as a sponsor, Kevin Harvicks #29 Chevy will be sponsored by Shell/Pennziol. BAM Racing lost thier sponsor but will try to still run full time.
