The 2006 Subway Fresh 500 was a Nextel Cup event held at Phoenix Interntaional Raceway on April 22, 2006. Kevin Harvick made a fuel mileage gamble and it paid off, as Harvick held off Tony Stewart by two and three-quarters seconds. With his third place effort, Matt Kenseth took the points lead by nine markers on Jimmie Johnson (7th). Stats
