The Race::2004 RMCS 50 was a Rocky Mountain Challenge Series event held at Track::Rocky Mountain Raceways on May 1, 2004. It was the first race in series history. Despite the usual uncertainty surrounding a new series, a good car count promised good things for the series. Eight cars even were sent home after failing to qualify. In the feature event, Eddy McKean took the honors as the inaugural winner, holding off Craig Bell. Eventual season champ Zan Sharp was 13th.
