The 2002 Pepsi 400 was a Winston Cup Series (now Sprint Cup) event held at Daytona International Speedway on July 6, 2002. Michael Waltrip used a little help from drafting buddy Dale Earnhardt, Jr to lead 99 of the 160 laps and record Waltrip's lone victory of the season. Points leader Sterling Marlin finished 3rd and expanded his points lead to 77 markers over Mark Martin (5th).
