The Race::2001 JaniKing 250 was a [[]] (then Winston West Series) event held at Track::Irwindale Speedway on November 10, 2001. It was the season finale. Brendan Gaughan claimed the championship in style, winning his sixth and final victory of the year (3rd victory of the year at the track) by holding off Brandon Ash. Gaughan ended the year sixty points ahead of Mark Reed.

Sean Woodside drove to yet another pole during 2001, turning in a lap of 18.59 seconds to hold off a season-best effort by Tim Woods. Bobby Dotter had the best qualifying of his limited season, starting 3rd. Gaughan would start 4th.
