The 1983 Winston 200 was a Grand American Stock Car Series event held at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on May 21, 1983. It was the season opener. Busch Series star Jack Ingram held off eventual season champ Mike Alexander for his only career series victory. Herman Smith had a season-best third place run as did Randy Porter (4th) and Marty Ward (5th).
